Divine, graceful, charming, misunderstood being<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Constantly shamed for an abundance of eating<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thrashing through the sea, protector of your reef<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who knew humans would cause you such grief<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An elegant creature made a killer by we<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A danger to humans I would disagree<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We drag large nets through your home<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taking your fish, mollusks and all that you know<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We destroy your safe haven for our benefit<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And we leave you on the floor without fins<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your way of frolicking and moving about and moving about<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We came into your life and threw you out<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I, a feeble bystander watching you crumble<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As I just sit here and silently fumble<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Twiddling my thumbs as you lie on the floor<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tossing and turning and nothing more<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On vacations I’d observe your domain<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A lifeless being is what you’ll remain <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once your limbs are cut and sold<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are placed into a porcelain bowl<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To be soup that no one likes to consume<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But eaten to be seen as wealthiest in the room<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reputation and status should not be a reason<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To kill of a species should be punished with treason<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A betrayal of mother nature with all she’s creating<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Killing her children for status and rating<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a matter of time the shark will fade<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And then another species we will invade<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Consuming for money and reputation<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Less resources, more inflation<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We all deserve a right to survive<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Humans beat everyone else times five<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have clothes, weapons and tools<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Creatures only have instincts and rules<\/p>\n\n\n\n
